About us
Dark Horse Building is run by husband-and-wife team Matt and Prue McCaughan. Matt and Prue have built two of their own homes, so they know firsthand how important it is to get it right.
Matt is the Director, and builder on site: originally trained in building high-spec architectural homes, he also has experience in rural builds and the commercial building sector (so he knows the value of a good project plan)! Matt specialises in delivering high-quality residential builds at any budget.
As well as being Dark Horse Building’s Office Manager, Prue is a qualified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist, and one of her ‘unofficial’ jobs is keeping the builder fit and healthy.
Matt and Prue live in Kirwee with their two children, Marlie (12) and Darcy (9).
